- Added nickname of the current macro to the caption bar of the Scripting Editor window.
- Renamed all the variable commands in the scripting editor so that they all start with the
word "Variable" making it easier to find the commands.
- Added new option to save a Text variable to a text file.
- Added new option to copy a Text variable to the clipboard.
- Added new option to save a Text variable to an INI file.
- Added new option to save a Text variable to an environment variable.
- Added new option to append a Text variable to a text file.
- Added new commands to Save the Variables to Memory. Commands include saving all variables,
all text variables, all integer variables and all decimal variables. Used in conjunction
with the new restore variables command, variables can be passed quite easily from one macro
to the next on independent running of macros. Where one macro does a save variable command,
the next macro can do a restore variable command to obtain the values used in the first macro.
- Added new commands to Restore the Variables from Memory. Commands include restoring all
variables, all text variables, all integer variables and all decimal variables. Used in conjunction
with the new save variables command, variables can be passed quite easily from one macro
to the next on independent running of macros. Where one macro does a save variable command,
the next macro can do a restore variable command to obtain the values used in the first macro.
- Rearranged some of the accelerator keys in the Modify Directly Editor to remove a duplicate
or two.
- Added a link to the Macro Express Home Page under the Help menu item in the Macro Express
Editor.
- Macro abort messages displayed on the screen will now show the nickname of the parent macro
that is aborting.
- Added an option where the a macro script can be checked for common errors when you go to
save the script. This primarily consists of items that should be in pairs such as a Shift
Key Down and a Shift Key Up or a Start Repeat and an End Repeat.
- While in the Scripting Editor, double clicking on one of the commands would always place
the command at the end of the macro. It will now place the command either before the highlighted
script item, after it or at the end based on the "insertion" setting found under
the "Commands" menu option.
- Added new option to set a Text Variable from an environment variable.
- Added new option to the Delay commands. This option will tell the delay commands to ignore
the macro speed so that the delay will always be the delay time specified.
- Created an option to display a "Macro Test Run Window" when invoking the "Test
Run Macro" button from within the Scripting Editor. This window consists of a memo type
entry space and will be helpful for testing macros that type text.
- When using macro categories and a macro is deleted, the category that was being displayed
before the macro deletion will now remain displayed after the deletion. Previously, this
always reset back to the "All Categories" list.
- When adding a new macro and a category is selected, the new macro will be assigned to that
category.
- Added new command line parameter /V which can be used to pass in a Text, Integer or Decimal
variable. These values are saved in the "saved variable memory" so that the new
"Variable Restore All" type of command would need to be first used in the macro
before the variable values can be used.
- Added new CD-ROM feature. Now you can select which CD-ROM drive to include in the macro,
if you have multiple drives.
- Bug Fix: It was possible for the "First Time Use" indicator to not be reset correctly
so that the message asking about loading in the sample macro file could show up on a subsequent
run.
- Bug Fix: Adding a Log Errors or a Log Message command in the scripting editor could cause
an "invalid pointer" error to appear when attempting to save the macro.
- Bug Fix: The Log Errors command has an option to suppress errors from being displayed on
the screen which wait for user input. There were a number of error conditions that would
be displayed on the screen even though this option was selected.
- Bug Fix: When adding a new "Variable Modify Integer" command and a variable was
used as the second item in a math function (add, subtract, etc), the scripting editor line
would initially show it as a non variable. Internally all was fine. It just didn't show up
right initially on the screen.
- Bug Fix: Any changes to the Fonts for the grid and grid title on the Macro Express Editor
would not be saved for the next run of the program. These are now properly retained.
- Bug Fix: Trying to import more than 500 ShortKeys from a ShortKeys file would cause an
error in the import window.
- Bug Fix: It was possible to get a "Grid Index Out Of Range" error if you were
adding a new macro and you had a category displayed that did not have any entries in it.
- Bug Fix: If a second command line parameter followed after the /A, /F or /MXE command line
parameters, then the /A, /F or /MXE command line parameters would not execute. This applied
to both MACEXP.EXE and MEPROC.EXE.
- Bug Fix: In the "If Variable" command, if you selected a string variable, contains,
and another string variable, you would get 'The "contains" condition is only available
for text strings. Please correct.'
- Bug Fix: The "Modify Directly" button incorrectly still had the Alt+D accelerator
key assigned instead of Alt+Y.
